Concerning the economic side, Al-Sisi will meet with the heads of the World Bank and the International Monterey Fund (IMF), and he will attend two other meetings with two companies in the US.

In his meetings with officials of the economic sector, the World Bank, and the IMF, the president will review updates of the IMF loan and Egypt’s economic reform project that started last November, as well as ways to increase investments between Egypt and the US. Economic experts have recommended that Al-Sisi should discuss with Trump the direction of the dollar and US economic policies regarding Egypt.

Al-Sisi’s discussions will focus on ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and increase coordination with the new US administration to restore the momentum of the Egyptian-American relations and develop them in various fields.

A number of politicians and experts have praised the importance of Al-Sisi’s visit to Washington, as it is the first visit to the US by an Egyptian president since 2009, as well as the first under the new US administration.
