Public officers ought to keep off political events

The Constitution of Kenya bars civil servants from actively engaging in political activities while in office. This is why the Daily Nation story of March 15 by Ruth Mbula, Public officials join vote hunt for Jubilee, citing Education and Devolution Cabinet Secretaries openly campaigning for Jubilee Party, is a clear violation of the law. They should resign and join politics.
