Wakhungu should stand firm on the polythene bag ban

The sustained fight by Kenya Association of Manufacturers against the ban on polythene bags, citing loss of jobs, should not distract Environment Cabinet Secretary Judi Wakhungu from her crusade to rid the country of plastic by September.

There is no way KAM will agree to play ball, even when they know the benefits to the country.

The Executive should also come out and support the ban.

It should not interfere, as it did during the Michuki era.
