Oyo Signs Bill Prohibiting Violence Against Women Into Law

Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Tuesday, signed into law a bill prohibiting violence against women in the state.


Present at the signing ceremony of the bill to Prohibit Violence Against Women in Public and Private Life, at the Governor’s Office, Ibadan, the state capital, were the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Seun Abimbola; Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Musah Abdulwasil, and other stakeholders.


Governor Ajimobi, who in recent weeks has been in the news for wrong reasons notably on how he handled the protesting students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH), has been receiving praises from people of the state for the signing of the bill.
