Michelle Obama Features On Reality TV Show For Kids
On Thursday night, former American first lady, Michelle Obama was back in the spotlight.
Michelle Obama made an appearance on Fox’s “MasterChef Junior.” cooking reality TV show.
Obama was a special guest on the mystery challenge portion of the child cooking reality television competition.
Although the particular episode was recorded prior to ex-President Obama’s exit from office and Donald Trump’s subsequent inauguration.

As the show began, a man dressed in a suit, sunglasses and an American flag pin brought host and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, an official-looking red phone.
Show host Ramsay then placed a call, asking to speak to “the boss of the house …the real boss of the house.”
A few seconds later, a multimedia screen dropped down with Michelle showing.
The former first lady then said:
“I’m Michelle Obama, and tonight, I am thrilled to deliver your next mystery box challenge.
“Please head back to your stations.”
Michelle instructions sent the final 14 young cooks in the competition, aged 8 to 13, gasping, shrieking and racing to their kitchen stations.
One of the contestants, Jasmine (11) speaking said:
“I’m like, about to die. R.I.P. me, oh my God.
“I mean, Michelle Obama is a wonder woman and I look up to her so much. She is my idol.”
Contestants lifted the lids of their weekly mystery boxes to reveal ingredients inspired by the White House kitchen garden.

Michelle Obama then instructed:
“For your mystery box challenge, I’m asking all of you to come up with an original recipe that’s healthy and follows the ‘my plate’ symbol.
“Filing half your plate with fruits and veggies, and the rest with whole grains, lean protein and dairy.”

Meanwhile, One of Michelle Obama’s signature accomplishments as first lady may be in jeopardy under the Trump administration.

Lobbying group, the School Nutrition Association, released recommendations earlier this month to scale back federal nutrition standards Michelle championed.
Most of these standards and were set under the Obama administration.
The group is a national nonprofit professional organization representing over 57,000 members in the school food service industry.
Michelle Obama has been very outspoken against unhealthy eating habits and childhood obesity.
