Atlantis Movie: Pharell Williams Life To be Made Into A Musical Movie

Singer and Producer Pharell Williams would be having his life made into a musical movie – Atlantis.

The Movie which will be aired on Fox will showcase Pharell’s life in a musical.

Atlantis movie will be directed by Broadway director Michael Mayer.

Pharell who produced the hit ‘Hidden Figures’ would co-produce the musical movie with Meyer.

The Atlantis movie project is a musical that is being described as a Romeo and Juliet style story.

The story behind the movie was inspired by Pharell’s childhood in Virginia Beach.

It will feature some musical elements of course influenced by Pharell.

The story and script for the  movie will be written by Martin Hynes, currently writing Toy Story 4.

Atlantis movie will be produced by Williams and Mimi Valdes via their “I Am Other” production company.


Pharell Williams has had quite a successful career as a singer, songwriter and music producer, winning 10 Grammy Awards.

He produced soul, hip-hop and R&B music with Chad Hugo under the name The Neptunes for many of the industry’s top recording artists including Snoop Dogg and Bow Wow.

Pharell also performed as the lead vocalist in the band N*E*R*D.

He also released the solo albums In My Mind (2006) and Girl (2014).

Lately, Pharell has been making in-roads into movies.

He producer Fox’s acclaimed hit movie Hidden Figures.

Atlanttis movie got nominated for three Oscars including best picture.

Pharell also wrote the songs for the film that starred Octavia Spencer, Taraji P. Henson and Janelle Monae.

Williams also produced Roxanne Roxanne, which recently debuted at Sundance.

The 43-year-old musician has written music for a number of films over the years, including the hit “Happy” from Despicable Me 2, for which he received an Oscar nomination.
