Earlier on this week, the BuzzNigeria crew caught up with the winners of the just concluded Grounded Promotions Talent Search – Bshine, the 15-year-old kid who won a 3.5 million Naira record deal up for grabs at the event and Leonine, the first runner-up.
One-On-One With Bshine
Akabike Bright “Bshine” is a 15-year-old rapper from Abia State, Nigeria. He’s the last child from a family of 8. Coming for the auditions, Bshine recognized a platform he could tap into under Grounded Promotions and he knew this was the time to grab it.
Boldly speaking, he knew what he had and all he needed was the stage to showcase his talent. The confidence Bshine has is totally on a different level, there is no doubt he was born for this.

Moving forward, he promises to drop some new hits, feature some industry big names, and most importantly he’s all about “good music”. Watch the video to listen to the flows this kid drops! Lyrically speaking he has got some punch lines while creatively dropping some wise words.
One-On-One With Leonine
Leonine is a very versatile singer and songwriter. He acknowledged the opportunities a platform such as the Grounded Talent Search could provide him and he did all he had to do to key into that.
He might not have come out first from the competition, but he’s still very grateful to have been the first runner-up in a competition that saw other talented individuals get eliminated along the way.
Leonine was born and raised in Onitsha; the young chap is also a law student and he’s not shy to sweep the ladies off their feet with some heartfelt lyrics. Leonine is all about the music and I sure can’t wait to listen to his upcoming projects in the works.
One-On-One With Bond Stanley
Bond Stanley is the brains behind the just concluded Grounded Talent Search; he’s a talent manager and also the force behind Grounded Promotions and Penthauze.
He has been in the industry for quite some years now; he manages the legendary rapper “Phyno” and thanks to the success, he has experienced a lot from what the world has to offer.

On Grounded Talent Search, it was an initiative to bring the opportunity home “Enugu” where it all started for him and a number of key industry players. The whole plan is to set up a solid structure for upcoming talent and the talent search will take place every first quarter of the year.
With the experience, connections and drive Bond has for promoting young talent, all I can say is this is just the beginning.
