The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into mourning this morning following the sad news of the death of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya who passed away in Canada at the age of 42.
Although the main cause of her death is yet unknown, the actress who welcomed her second child barely two months ago has been reportedly in and out of the hospital since her childbirth.

Just 24 hours before the news of her death broke, Moji Olaiya shared a cute photo of herself smiling in a living room with the caption.
“Alliamdulilahi to you Allah I give all the glory for all you have done. I will forever praise and worship you. It’s not by power but the Grace of Allah. Thank you for the gift of life. Thanks also to all my friends and family my fans for your supports and prayers. Love you all”.
The actress gave birth to a baby girl in March. Her first daughter is 18 years old.
Moji Olaiya who is one of the daughters of highlife music legend, Victor Olaiya was born in February 1975.
She was married to Bayo Okesola in 2007 and converted to Islam in 2014.

Moji Olaiya was popular for her roles in movies like ‘Nkan Adun’, ‘Agunbaniro’, and ‘No Pains No Gain’.
