Straight after the “breakup and make up” weekend for AKA and Bonang, the rapper has released a love rap song that samples Caiphus Semenya’s iconic Matswale, touching on some very personal parts of his relationship.
AKA digs deep into his personal life in the song which he released as a surprise on Tuesday.
“How many breakups we gon have?,” AKA questioned on the song.
The rapper went on to detail the reasons why he and his woman fight. “Way too independent for your own good maybe that’s the reason we started this season up on the wrong foot.”
AKA also touched on the sacrifices he has made for the relationship because of its worth. “In case you forgot, I found you and me and paid the price for our heart’s synergies,” the rapper reminded his lady.
The catchy hook spoke of how AKA was running out of things to prove himself and later in the song touched on his overseas trips.
But the track wasn’t just about their challenges and AKA didn’t hold back in telling Mzansi that his woman is “a blessing”.
“See I wanted you for a long time. Couple years later now you’re all mine. Give me a time frame I got big plans, but I don’t buy face, I buy sick bags,” AKA rapped in reference to the R46K bag he bought Bonang to apologise.
The rapper asked God to bless the queen of his castle and revealed that his mother also prayed for them because he couldn’t do it on his own.
Damn that’s deep!
