And although the station has seen multiple departures during last month’s reshuffle that saw the likes of Bonang Matheba, Unathi and Glen bid their farewell from the urban station, SPHEctacula and DJ Naves are moving on with no bad blood.
SPHEctacula and DJ Naves would like to express their unreserved gratitude to Metro FM for allowing them to grow on the station and giving them a platform that enabled their brands to connect with millions of listeners over the years.

“Thank you for allowing us into your cars, homes and hearts over the past 7 years”, the two express through a press statement.
“The Preparty was a huge success because of all of YOU that tuned in every Saturday. We are eternally grateful for your unwavering support.”
Listeners wondering what’s next for the duo have been urged to watch the space, as the two aim to step outside their comfort zone.
“Leaving The Preparty is a bold step for us to grow, get out of our comfort zones and challenge ourselves to achieve more. We hope you continue to follow us on our journey, wherever that may lead.”
SPHE and Naves joined the radio station back in May 2010.
In addition to their joint radio careers and producing music together, they also co own a night club called Icon Soweto.
