The swanky South African Music Awards (SAMAs) is no doubt going to be lit this weekend.
With Tumi Morake and Somizi Mhlongo in the driver’s seat as the hosts of the highly-anticipated event, you can expect a healthy serving of spice and loads of laughter.
Speaking to Sowetan Tumi said they will be throwing out “unfiltered” lines that will get people talking.
“I actually realised Somizi and I haven’t decided what we are not saying. Let’s just say I hope we don’t get into trouble. We haven’t censored ourselves,” she said.
Tumi added that SAMA organisers haven’t instructed them to ‘stay away’ from anything.
Even though they plan to add a bit of chilli to the evening’s festivities, Tumi added that they won’t be “horribly unprofessional” for shock sake.
The awards ceremony which aims to honour SA’s artists for their hard work attracts some of Mzansi’s most famous faces.
Artists including Babes Wodumo, Kwesta and Kelly Khumalo are expected to set the stage on fire with explosive performances.
It all happens tomorrow night at 8pm. You can watch it live on SABC 1 or follow @TshisaLIVE for rolling coverage.
