Roger Federer made history on Sunday as he won his eighth Wimbledon title and his 19th Grand Slam title.
The Switzerland native beat Marin Cilic in straight sets, 6-3 6-1 6-4, on centre court to ensure that he finished his Wimbledon campaign without dropping a single set.

The sporting world watched on eagerly as Federer put on a clinic, and was then honoured by a number of top footballing stars on social media, including Mesut Ozil and Gerard Pique.
