The 19-year-old completed his £27-million move from Palmeiras before making his debut for City in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur last week.
The Brazil international even marked his appearance with a goal, although it was correctly ruled out for offside.
Carlos says despite his frenetic start in the English top flight, fans should be patient with the young star.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the former Real Madrid left-back said: “Gabriel will be very important for Manchester City but he needs time to adapt.
“I would ask that people don’t put too much pressure on him too soon.
“He showed what he can do in the last 15 minutes of the game against Tottenham.
“He showed his fantastic speed and he scored the goal that was ruled out for offside. It made people notice him, but it can be difficult for a young boy coming to a new country. He has to adapt.”
Jesus played a major role as Brazil won the Olympic gold medal in Rio last year, and already boasts four goals in just six international appearances.
