Guedioura, 31, is an Algeria international and arrives at the Riverside with a wealth of experience, having also amassed over 170 appearances since arriving in England in 2010.
The midfielder had previously been linked with a move to Hull City, but the Tigers were forced out of the picture by Boro, who forced the deal over the line shortly before the deadline on Tuesday.
Reports claim Guedioura arrives for a fee of around £3.5 million plus add-ons, though the club’s official statement refused to reveal details.
Should the midfielder slot straight into the first team at Boro, he could make his debut against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
