Segun Arinze, Tonto Dikeh, others partner Noah Dallaji on youth empowerment

In a calculated attempt to rid the Nigerian society of miscreant social misfits, Nollywood veterans, Segun Arinze, Alex Usifo, Ejike Asiegbu, Ifeanyi Dike, Kate Henshaw, Yemi Blaq, Tonto Dikeh, Lilian Esoro, Thelma Okoduwa Ojiji, Victor Osuagwu, Abubakar Yakubu, Uche Elendu, others, and musical heavyweights, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, Marvelous Benjy, Baba Fryo, others, have come together to partner with the President of African Children Talent Discovery Foundation, (ACTDF), to discover, mentor and build talented children and youths who have the passion to establish themselves using the divine given talents.

Speaking at a media briefing held on Monday, 7th August, 2017, at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, to inaugurate the ACTDF Unleash Your Talent 2017, which will hold in Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Nasarawa, Ibadan, Ekiti, Bauchi and Kaduna, on the 17th, 18th and 19th of August respectively, Noah Dallaji, President of ACTDF said since establishing the foundation, they have been committed to empowering the less privileged who are talented and creative so that they can walk up the social ladder and equally in turn help other less privileged ones on the streets.

“We have worked to empower the downtrodden so much so that we walked up the ladder and today we are graded UN grade C status as it relates to NGOs. In 2012, we participated in the Rio 2012 UN Sustainable Development Goals Summit which held in Brazil. I’m happy to state that across the nation and beyond the shores of Africa, we have reached out touching lives in very astonishing ways and are being recognized for that”, he said.

Segun Arinze, other Nollywood giants, expressed excitement to be part of the child/youth empowerment campaign. Nollywood diva, Thelma Okoduwa Ojiji, who was responsible for bringing the heavyweights together, expressed excitement for being able to gather such top shots on the project. “Yes, I was responsible for bringing these Nollywood bigwigs to work on a project that will take some children and youths off the streets. It is part of our responsibility as celebrities to rid the society of miscreants and social misfits”, she declared.
